Paul F. Nelson, C.A. Director, President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nelson is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of senior management experience in the areas of corporate finance, strategic planning, controllership, treasury and restructuring. Mr. Nelson has held several senior financial positions at Telus Corporation and since 2001 has been a corporate finance consultant. He has a B.A. degree from Queens’ University, Kingston and has been a director of the Company since 2006.
Roger P. Taylor, P. Eng., F.I.M.M. Independent Director and Chairman Mr. Taylor is a mining engineer with 45 years experience in senior operational positions. He also has experience with acquisitions and feasibility studies for major mining companies. From 1975 to 1979 he was Mine Manager of the Granisle Mine and was also President of Zapata Granby Mining Corporation. As Vice President of Cominco Ltd., he was President of their copper division from 1980 to 1985 where he was responsible for the acquisition of Bethlehem Copper Mines Ltd. and Valley Copper Mines Limited. He negotiated permits and smelter contracts for initial development of the Highland Valley ore body and expanded the Bethlehem mill to 25,000 tonnes per day. In 1984, he negotiated with Rio Algom for the eventual pooling of all the Highland Valley assets. Mr. Taylor has been a director of several publically listed companies. As a mining consultant, he has been engaged by international banks for due diligence of major mining companies.
Elston G. Johnston, P. Eng. Independent Director Mr. Johnston has 28 years of experience as a loss prevention consultant. During the last 15 years, he has also been a director of several exploration companies. He has a B.Sc. degree in electric engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
Daniel R. Koyich Director Mr. Koyich has been a director of several public companies since 1997. He has been President of the private company, JeanDan Management Ltd., since 1977. He has provided consulting services for investor relations, business administration and financing for numerous publicly listed companies.
